The Pasadena Grand Opera House opened February 13, 1889, located on the Southwest corner of Raymond and Bellevue. In May of 1891, the Pasadena Opera House Company went bankrupt ans the Opera House was sold to Professor Thaddeus Lowe. After this time the building was sometimes known as "Lowe's Grand Opera House."
