Description
Enclosed is a copy of the report by agents McDaniel and McQueen. They inspected the [Barcessa Valley?] on the [Penta Creek?]. They found the [Barcessa?] family in possession of Indian slaves. Many of them originated from tribes driven from the valley and mountains of Stone creek and certain Sonora Mexicans lived amongst them. They proceeded across the [Popes?] Valley and encountered several Indians in the employ of Mr. Pope. From there, they proceeded to Kiota Valley and found on [Mr. Shinling's?] land 75 Indians. They journed to Clear Lake after surveying this section of the land and found their Indians in good health.
