Image of a promotional newspaper for the steamer Plymouth Rock and an excursion planned to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, for the Yachting and Boating Regatta on August 20, 1875; image of the steamboat Plymouth Rock at center of front page; list of proprietors, and executive officers for the Plymouth Rock along with a description of the vessel's accommodations on page [2]; "Musical Programme for the Day" in four parts (performed on different decks) on page [3]; advertisements for various businesses throughout.
"Excursion Extraordinary! / From New Bedford, Fairhaven., and other places, / to Martha's Vineyard, in Jarrett & Palmer's Palace steamer / Plymouth Rock, under the auspices of the Allen Street M. E. Sunday School and Society, Friday, August 20, 1875. / The boat will leave New Bedford at 9.30 A.
