Eleanor Roosevelt was in Los Angeles addressing the Southern California Women's American Organization for Rehabilitation Through Training at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Mrs. Roosevelt was presented with a Distinguished Women's Award for her outstanding humanitarian efforts. Proceeds of the luncheon went to support an ORT school in Tel Aviv.
