In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. C, leaf 44.
In the foreground is the street and behind it is a tall wood-clad residence; on the right is the side of the building with but one window on the first floor and possibly two on the basement level; entrance is on the left side of corner with stairs leading to the first level; a two level house with a porch on first level and a balcony on second level; entrance and two rectangular windows on first floor and three rectangular windows on 2nd floor, aligned with those on first floor.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
"Old home of Peter Kunz, erected in 1865.Owned the first city nursery in Sacramento at 3rd & R street where this house was located."
