Description
Two people, one walking beside and one behind a dog sled team in Yosemite. Five of the dogs are shown and there appears to be a person in the sled. Written on back: "Xmas 1922, Yosemite". Photo is one of several found in an envelope from Welch family labeled: "Snaps of stays in Yosemite -- Summer 1919 Xmas 1922 -- J.R., Mrs., Frances & Ione spent almost a week at the Sentinal Hotel on the Merced River. It was the first time Yosemite was open to the public in the winter. Train from S. J. to Merced, & to El Portal - then truck-like heavy bus on to the Hotel."
