Description
"(Reisebild) Herr Staub repariert das Auto." ("(Travel picture) Mr. Staub repairs the car."). Two Africans are crouching beside the front axle of a car, one is holding a tire tight and the other one is fixing something to the axle. Staub, wearing a sun helmet and standing in front of the car, is watching them.
Additional information on the second copy: "Reisebild. A. Staub repariert das Auto mit zwei Eingeborenen, Achsenbruch" ("Travel picture. A. Staub repairs the car together with two natives, broken axle"). -- According to a German address book of 1934, Staub was an assistant on a plantation in Rungwe.
