Description
A young man wearing pants and a long sleeve, holds the thin torch for his fire breathing performance. He stands in front of a traffic of cars. The 80's were considered the "lost decade" because of Mexico's debt crisis. This was due to the falling oil prices that left Mexico without foreign currency to pay off its $80 billion debt. This in effect, increased high levels of unemployement. In 1981, 52.5 percent of households in Mexico were considered poor.
