Description: Image of an advertisement for Three Gringos in Central America and Venezuela by Richard Harding Davis featuring two Central American native tribesmen in loincloths; one sits on the bank of a jungle river while the other bends over a canoe in the water near the shore.
Item originally owned by illustrator Curtis Wager-Smith (1870-1950). Date supplied by cataloger based on copy held by the Metropolitan Museum, New York. "Edward Penfield"--text, artist's signature on stone, bottom left of image. "By Richard Harding Davis Illustrated Harper & Brothers N.Y."--text, bottom center of image.
