Photograph caption dated April 18, 1957 reads "Pamela Hicks, 3, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hicks, 13371 Dyer St., Sylmar, seems to be having trouble getting nine-puppy litter of beagles to wake up and play with her. Being only 2 weeks old, they prefer to nap. Pam needn't worry, though. Pups will brighten up in another week."
