Description
"Sikonge. Br. Terp mit Täuflingen vor der Kirche" ("Sikonge. Br[other] Terp with candidates for baptism in front of the church"). Brother Terp and six African candidates for baptism in front of a church. The church has a thatched roof. In the background on the right the wooden belfry, also with a thatched roof.
Probably Terp, Jakob Peter. Born December 9th, 1882 in Thiset, Schleswig, Germany. On September 15th, 1910 he married Johanne Andrea, née Carstensen in Christiansfeld. From 1910-1916 is worked as a missionary in Urambo / Unyamwezi. He was detained from 1916-1917.
