A mock military battle staged on July 3rd, 1876, in honor of the US Centennial anniversary. Sea battle on San Francisco bay is pictured, many sailing vessels are visible. Spectators in horse-drawn carriages and on foot are visible on the grass in the foreground. Several tents are also pictured. Negative, no. 19,697 (4x5 in.)
