Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on August 17, 1965 states "Sergeant Ray Crosley of Roseville and Specialist 4 John Schmitz of 1529 Tessa Avenue, North Sacramento, guard the corner of Santa Barbara and Woodlawn Avenues in the Los Angeles riot area. Both men are with the Headquarters Company of the 1st Battalion, 184th Infantry."
