Letter of January 10, 1930 from Knute K. Rockne, Director of Athletics at University of Notre Dame in Indiana, to Loyola University President Joseph Sullivan, S.J. Transcript: "Dear Father: Please pardon the delay in answering your very fine letter but I have been laid up such an extent that my correspondence has more or less gone by the way. It will not be possible for me to consider any position for three years as that is the length of my contract still remaining here at the University. I expect to get out to California this spring and when I do I will certainly look you up. I want to thank you for the very wonderful letter and my very good wish goes to you. Yours cordially, K.K. Rockne, Director of Athletics."
