Description
(Left to right): Albert Einstein, Charles St. John, Walter Adams, Edwin Hubble, Walther Mayer, Arthur King, and Ferdinand Ellerman on the Monastery porch, Mount Wilson Observatory. Large glare spot at the left side of the image. The Monastery served as a dormitory for visiting scientists. Mayer, King and Ellerman are seen standing at the far right-hand side. Einstein, St. John, Adams and Hubble are seated on the porch. All of the men are wearing suits. Two of the porch columns are seen behind the men.
