Description
Photograph shows an arched recess under a large tent. Written above the arch reads: "Elmer Bros.: the nursery that helped to make Santa Clara Valley famous." Two plants in stone containers and a water cooler mark the entrance. One wall of the recess is filled with pictures. On another wall, jars of fruit line the shelves. Elmer Bros. Nursery was established in 1892 and was located at 68 South Market Street in San Jose. Scanned with Microtek Scanmaker 1000XL Pro; as a 600 dpi TIFF image in 8-bit Grayscale. Auto Level image processing applied and compressed into JPEG format using Photoshop CS3.
