Description
Negative shows a group of men, women, and children participating in the 1986 y-Walk. Many of them are wearing tee shirts that read: "Walk for woman. YWCA 1986." Some of them are carrying balloons and the woman in the striped sweater is holding a downtown shuttle flyer upside down. On envelope "1986 Y-Walk." On large envelope holding smaller envelope used to hold the negatives: "Name: Brock, Trish. Date: 12/2-. Phone: 295-4011. "Executive Director Faith Rein (the top job had been renamed again) and President Sarah Janigian launched two annual events that heaped public attention on the association: the Y-Walk downtown in 1984, in which volunteers enlisted sponsors to raise money for YWCA programs; and TWIN, Tribute to Women and Industry, in 1985."
