Demolition of Burbank High School. The old Burbank High School was built in 1922, located between Third Street and Fourth Street, and what is now Delaware Road and Grinell Drive. Shortly after the school opened, a library was added. By 1925 the school added a swimming pool, industrial education shops, and tennis courts. Burbank High began an extensive facility update in fall 2001, beginning with housing for new classrooms. By 2003, the campus also had a new gym, pool, visual and performing arts center, and over 100 classrooms with proper lighting, airconditining, and technology infrastructure.
