Photograph caption dated April 16, 1958 reads, "Workmen from city power department perform ticklish task of removing huge 70-foot- tree limb which crashed down on power lines at 5234 Corteen Pl., North Hollywood, after tree trunk split down the middle. At left workmen secure heavy rope around lib which was used to lift it from wires, relieving tension so that lineman, perched on pole, picture at right, could drop wires to ground and limb could be allowed to crash harmlessly to street. Richard F. Campbell was at home sick when tree fell. He said splitting trunk sounded like somebody dumping load of lumber on his lawn. Power was cut to four homes in area. For short time tree threatened to bring down lines carrying 4,800 volts."; See image #00137541 for additional photo in this series.
