Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the first hotel in San Gabriel, later used as a Sanatorium and a Masonic Home, ca.1900. The large, four-story wooden building is visible in the distance at center. Several chimneys stick up from its shingled roof, and two towers can be seen. Two large dormers project from the roof. The view of the bottom stories of the building is obscured by palm trees growing in the yard. Two women can be seen at left, while a wide dirt road is visible in the foreground at right.
