Photograph used for newspaper clipping is different from photograph in sleeve. Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Photograph caption dated January 1, 1958 reads "Van Nuys entry of floral cherry pie a la mode brought to life dream of hearty eaters and calorie counters. Pie dish was 18 feet in diameter, decorated in white chrysanthemums and edged with band of red roses. Jimmy Lindstrom, 13, and Panta Judge, 14, rode on float. Red and wine-hued mums formed pie filling. Gold and bronze mums made crust. Steam escaped from under crust and scent of hot cherry pie filled air as float rolled along parade route. Float was result of months of work by Van Nuys volunteers led by Rudy Jackson and Paul Shanklin."
