Description: Seven-part propaganda documentary about the Solovetsky Islands in the White Sea, photographed in 1927-1928. ❧ Part 1 (8:32) describes the reasons for the Solovki prisoner camp. Part 2 (12:13) gives an overview of the geography and history of the islands. Part 3 (13:30) describes the beginning of the work day in the camp. Part 4 (11:20) describes the middle of the typical work day. Part 5 (12:39) shows activities of the inmates on the other islands. Part 6 (9:39) describes the end of the work day and leisure in the evening hours. Part 7 (11:04) shows the contributions of the camp to the northern mainland. [Description English/roman)]

Часть 2 (12:13) даёт описание истории и географии островов. Часть 3 (13:30) описывает начало рабочего дня в лагере. Часть 4 (11:20) показывает середину рабочего дня в лагере. Часть 5 (12:39) показывает чем заняты заключенные на других островах архипелага. Часть 6 (9:39) описывает завершение рабочего дня и свободное от работы время в вечерние часы.
