Description
Report reveals that officials in Los Angeles have prepared to take action in the Owens Valley in response to damage done to the Los Angeles Aqueduct by local residents in the valley. Majority of article includes a quoted statement by President of the Los Angeles Board of Water and Power Commissioners Reginaldo Francisco Del Valle in which he explains the rationale for the aqueduct and the steps already taken to reimburse Owens Valley residents. Del Valle denounces the attacks and argues that the towns of Bishop, Big Pine, Lone Pine, and Independence have seen prosperity as a result of the aqueduct.
