Description
This circa 1937 view shows the building housing the Young Men's Christian Association at 505 J Street, the Arizona Rooms at 517 J Street, and the River Auto Stages at 915 Fifth Street. The five-story building was opened in 1914 and included a sub-basement which held a 60-foot long pool, boy's shower room, supply office and gymnasium. To the far left of the frame is the building's main gymnasium which contained a 78 by 57 foot banked, cork running track.
