Description
Pedestrians mill on pier following destruction of popular venue The Pavilion by fire in 1904. Pavilion was quickly rebuilt in expanded form in 1905. Temporary sundeck was built at the end of the pier to provide gathering place. Shore and skyline of Long Beach visible in background. Note on reverse of photo says: 'W. R. Mendenhall #13'.
