Photograph caption dated December 8, 1949 reads, "Charged with stealing his own son, Milton Stewart Davis, left, talks with his attorney in Van Nuys Municipal Court where he was ordered bound over to Superior Court. Davis was arrested in Phoenix, Ariz., after failing to return his son, Peter, 6, to his estranged wife, Mrs. Mollie Davis of Tujunga. He will enter his plea Dec. 23."
