Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Wigg Construction Company office building on the corner of Pacific Avenue and Emerald Street, Redondo Beach, ca.1926. A large, two-story building in the Art Deco style is pictured at center, signs above the door and window advertising the Wigg Construction Co. and Krempel & Erkes Architects and Engineers. Automobiles are parked along the street at either side of the corner, and railcar tracks can be seen embedded in the pavement. A sign for John's Cafe can be seen to the far right, offering lunch for 25 cents. An earlier record contends that a Model-A Ford automobile can be seen.
