Description
Kent, O.: More than 700 Black students at the Kent State University were tested for sickle cell anemia recently. Funds for the program were raised by 10 Black campus groups. Shown being tested is James Wiggins (R) a sophomore from Cleveland. Among the numerous volunteers who did the testing was Karen Boyd, a junior from Geneva. Willie Robinson, an instructor in the Institute for African American Affairs, coordinated the program.
