Description
Scene from "The First Easter" by John Steven McGroarty, on the lawn of the Huntington Hotel in Pasadena on April 8, 1927. This Mission style resort hotel set in extensive gardens was designed by architects Myron Hunt and Charles Whittlesey and built from 1906 to 1916. Seen in this presentation are Spanish friars and Native Americans, as a crowd stands and watches.
