Photograph caption dated October 13, 1956 reads, "Second-string Birmingham High School Fullback Mike Hines (60) turned out to be pleasant surprise as he went on rampage against Verdugo Hills yesterday at Birmingham. Above he's shown going on touchdown run while being chased by Dons' Richard Roberts (23), Mark Beatty (41), and Mike Mahoney (31). Braves in photo are Bob Lincoln (66) and Jim Dickey (80). Birmingham triumphed, 32-0."
