Jørgen L. var engageret i Projekt Vestens Unge, og havde desuden opgaver indenfor landbrug i UMN. - Fra 1995-2001 var de udsendt til Cambodia, hvor DSM/World Concern fra 1993 havde startet et arbejde i Preah Sdach, Prey Veng provinsen med forskellige udviklingstiltag. Herunder et større landbrugsorienteret egnsudviklingsprojekt, fra 1995-98 støttet af Danida. Det omfattede bl.a. konsulentbistand til etablering af lokalkomiteer, kurser i øget produktion, husdyrpleje og økonomisk rådgivning om mikrolån-programmer mv. Samtidig blev Bodil og Jørgen involveret i søndagsskole- og ungdomsarbejde, der førte til en interesse for det kristne evangelium, som siden har udviklet sig til dannelse af lokale Khmer- menigheder i området

Missionary Bodil Lindgaard and husband, Jørgen Lindgaard, sent by DSM to Kathmandu, Nepal, 1992-95. Bodil L. was teacher at the Norwegian School, and Jørgen L. was engaged in the Western Youth Project. He had UMN assignments in agriculture projects, as well. From 1995-2001 they were sent to Cambodia. DSM/World Concern had started development activities in Preah Sdach, the Prey Veng Province from 1993. Among these a major agriculture-oriented regional development project, from 1995-98 funded by Danida. This included e.g. consultation services for establishment of local committees, training about increased production, lifestock health and economical counseling about microloan programs, etc. – Together with this Bodil and Jørgen were involved in activities, as Sunday school teaching and youth ministry – which opened an interest for the Christian gospel. Later this has led to founding of local Khmer congregations in the area.
