Title supplied by cataloger. The Go-Go's' bright, catchy pop tunes were a hit with both new wave and mainstream audiences. They are the first all-female rock band to write their own songs and play their own instruments in the studio. Their first release "Beauty and the Beat" was one of the most successful debut albums of all time. Photograph caption dated August 11, 1984 reads, "The Go Go's entertained the near-capacity Greek Theatre crowd Wednesday with catchy, amusing lyrics."
