Description
View of a row of two-story buildings with balconies in the 500 block of North Los Angeles Street in Old Chinatown, Los Angeles, with signs for "Fook Wo Lung Curio Co." and "Chew Fun & Co. Chinese Herbs" visible and an automobile parked at the street curb. The Hop Sing Tong Society headquarters was located at 520 1/2 N. Los Angeles Street. The buildings face the Los Angeles Plaza (not pictured) and the central building (with three dormer windows) was built for Don Vicente Lugo and known as the Lugo Adobe.
"Headquarters of Hop Sing Tong Los Angeles" and "1915"--text, handwritten in pencil on verso. Title, location, and date devised by cataloger based on information from donor Ernest Marquez.
