Photograph of two men at the sides of the door (the "Maximillian door") to the Convent of Capuchinas, Queretaro, Mexico, ca.1905-1910. Two large leafy trees shade them. This is the door from which Maximillian, who was imprisoned at the convent, emerged immediately prior to being executed by shooting.
