Fao was the first Polynesian evangelist. He unloaded on Lifou island in 1842. This role is played by Willy Haeweng, Director of the school of Havila.
Comment : Photograph taken during the Assembly of Pacific Conference of Churches in Chepenehe, Lifou, from May 25th till June 7th, 1966.
