Photograph caption dated January 2, 1959 reads, "Support from 44 Valley Lutheran churches continues to mount for Pacoima Memorial Lutheran Hospital Campaign, as reflected above, when the Van Nuys Central Lutheran Church's Lutheran Brotherhood pledged a five-year cash commitment for the 100-bed hospital. The Rev. Rudolph A. Ramseth, pastor, receives check from Larry Lohr, president of the brotherhood, which is made up of laymen in the congregation. Pastor Ramseth is also a member of the 15-member hospital board. Congregational pledges as well as individual and family pledges are being secured from Lutherans across the Valley."
