Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Melrose Hotel on Grand Avenue between First Street and Second Street on Bunker Hill, ca.1945. The hotel is a large rectangular building with four stories. Its flat roof is slightly higher on the corners than in the middle, and a sign bearing the name of the hotel projects upward from the middle of the façade. The second and third stories have large covered balconies, and the bottom floor is obstructed from view by thick ivy and other plants. On the street in front of the hotel are three large automobiles, two of which are parked.
