Description
"Orville and the boys setting the door and frames. These brick you see in picture are mud brick (Kimberly) dried in the sun." Orville Brittell (pictured far left) works with local friends and associates of the Kalomo Mission to add improvements to the compound. John Sherriff and W. N. Short, American missionaries from Churches of Christ, began the mission in 1922. Orville Brittell joined them in 1939 and married Augusta Scott, daughter of George and O. R. Scott who were also missionaries from Churches of Christ who worked at the mission station.
