Exterior view of the Pacific Coast Stock Exchange (originally the Los Angeles Stock Exchange), located at 618 South Spring Street in Los Angeles. View shows the inscription and bas reliefs above the main doorway of the entrance. Three relief panels, carved by G. Salvatore Cartaino Scarpitta, representing Research and Discovery, Finance and Production are over the entrance. "Finance" contains five figures, four in contemporary business suits and the center figure in judicial-type robes. This figure represents the Exchange, and sits on a throne, on either side of which is a bull and a bear. Building is a Moderne style office building with a stock exchange hall. Date built: 1929-1930.
