Photograph caption dated December 7, 1950 reads, "Since workmen uncovered ancient fossil in sand during wildcat oil well drilling operations on her father's Canoga Park ranch, Wanda Dotta, thinks she might take up geology. She is Canoga Park High School student. Claire Gibson, president of company conducting operations, shows here [sic] minute fossil."
