Description
The "Louvre" located at East Blithedale. Operated by Jack Hanson prior to 1900. One of four saloons comprising an area known as "Jagtown". Jack Hanson is shown with his son Ted and two brothers. The Louvre Bar was on East Blithedale and Grove Avenue, was the first saloon in Mill Valley and enjoyed years and years of service to the Mill Valleyans. That little fellow sitting on the counter is Ted Hansen who was a popular Mill Valley resident. The Louvre was family run and from left are George Hansen, his father, and Ted Hansen, another uncle.
