Description
In 1946, the Kuromiyas reunite after camp - minus son Yosh who was still imprisoned at McNeil. Back row l to r: Hiroshi, Kazumi, Kimiye, Yoshito. Front row l to r: Emiko, Merijane, Steven Kiyoshi, Papa Hisamitsu "James" (1887-?), Mama Hana Tada (1900-1988). James was a vegetable peddler in Monrovia and Arcadia and also had a strawberry stand at 201 W. Huntington. Steven Kiyoshi Kuormiya (1943-2000) was a gay rights and civil rights activist, now buried at Live Oak Cemetery.
