Photograph of Santa Monica's Palisades Park and Castle Rock, ca.1910. The conical rock is at center, jutting out from the shoreline above a sandy beach. Behind the rock at left, the Coast Highway can be seen winding its way along the shore. A wooden fence acts a guardrail near the rock. The right side of the road is bordered by steep mountains covered in a variety of brush.
