Caption from June 24, 1977 Sacramento Bee reads "Charles Wiswell, right, president of Swift Aire Lines, San Luis Obispo, describes features of the Nord-262 propjet passenger plane his company introduced Thursday at Sacramento Metropolitan Airport. The 29-passenger, French-built Nord will be used starting Monday on selected flights between Sacramento, Fresno, Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo and Los Angeles. Swift Aire is now flying three twin-engine Nords and six four-engine DeHavilland Herons on its California routes. The Nord has an operational range of 635 miles, 246 mph top speed and a maximum passenger altitude of 20,000 feet. The passenger compartment is fully pressurized."
