Description
This elegant design for Bisceglia Brothers peaches includes a logo of intertwined letter Bs and gold printing. B-B Extras Brand name may indicate that the peaches in the can consist of "extras" or pieces of fruit and are of lower quality. Four Bisceglia brothers emigrated from southern Italy to the United States in 1885. The eventually settled in Morgan Hill where they started growing and canning fruit and vegetables. In 1913 the Bisceglia Brothers moved their cannery to Monterey Road in San Jose, California. In 1919 the Bisceglia Brothers Canning Company was the largest cannery in the world and employed 1,000 workers.
