This shaggy horse, owned by Ky Wilhoit shown with the animal, is said to bear a strong resemblance to the wild horses of Asia. It has become one of the equine curiosities of the Valley." This photograph of "Jack," believed to be of the Tarpan or Przhevalski breed, was taken at Wilhoit's ranch on Sepulveda Boulevard in Van Nuys. Mr. Wilhoit also shows a beautiful black stallion, though his name is not known. Photograph dated November 8, 1946.
