Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated February 1, 1954 reads, "Repair crews put down pavement patching on sewer installations through dangerous intersection at Sherman Way and Laurel Canyon boulevard in North Hollywood. Traffic confusions results at dangerus [sic] train crossing which has taken lives of several motorists. City Department of traffic said advance signals, special signs and new no-left-turn plan will be constructed soon."
