Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated April 9, 1963 reads "Easter Bonnet making contest occupies disabled veterans at Sepulveda Veterans Hospital as they prepare for contest judging Thursday in an event sponsored by the 52 Association of Southern California in conjunction with The Hollywood Canteen Foundation. Materials for hundreds of hats are furnished by 52 Association and Auxiliary. Above, Mmes. David R. McMillan, Glendale, of Hollywood Canteen, and Annette Ingram (sic), Westwood, and Miss Annette Ingram, therapist, help vets with decorating. Below, Mrs. Allen K. Wood (not pictured), Sherman Oaks, a judge, tries on hat made by the veterans. A variety show will accompany judging ceremonies. Judges will include Rex the Milliner, Nina Anderton, and Mmes.
