Description
Side view of the audience of African-American men and women at Talladega College commencement ceremony. Many of the women are wearing hats. Lee and Marie de Forest can be seen in partial view. From an album of photographs documenting Lee and Marie de Forest's visit to Talladega College in June 1951, when de Forest delivered the commencement address and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree.
