Description
Photograph of buildings on the corner of Los Angeles Street and Aliso Street looking east, 1886. At left, a one-story adobe long-house is pictured, three sets of steps leading to three different doors. Farther in, a second, similarly-shaped building features a porch. In the foreground, a large dirt road curves to the right. This area was part of Calle de los Negros (Negro Alley, colloquially referred to as "Nigger Alley" at the time).
